Starry Night
A musical exploration of Vincent van Gogh's most famous painting. Includes various sound effects and an optional dulcimer part (could be piano, etc.)
- Part 1 - a serene lullaby quickly leads into a majestic full band statement
- Part 2 - blustery wind effects kick off a whirling, swirling opener
- Part 3 - the lullaby melody returns, evoking the beauty of the stars and night sky
- Part 4 - an extended percussion feature with a mysterious vibe - plenty of room for visual development and effect in the winds and guard
- Part 5 - a jazz-inflected treatment of Debussy's 'Clair de Lune' which leads into a massive finale as day breaks
