A veritable whirlwind of musical depth and power that characterizes Poseidon, god of the sea and storms. A three-note theme provides the catalyst for each movement, representing the three prongs of Poseidon's trident
- Caught in the Storm - gentle waves slowly give way to a swirling musical vortex in this fast paced opener
- Into the Depths - the feeling of sinking deeper into Poseidon's realm, and becoming immersed in the ocean, featuring an alto sax (or other woodwind) soloist
- Victorious - a resolute introduction leads to a triumphant finale, bringing back themes from previous sections
