About the show
This show is all about taking your audience through the full range of emotions one might experience during a nightmare. Several solo/feature options are scattered throughout and can be transposed to other instruments at your request. The preshow and all sound design elements are included.
- Preshow (1:00) includes a warped version of Brahms' Lullaby
- Part 1: "Trapped" - dark and aggressive
- Part 2: "Solitude" - the feeling of walking through a corridor alone...or are you being followed? Flute duet could be any combination of woodwinds.
- Part 3: "Chase" - Fast paced, utilizes some of the Dies Irae, percussion feature near the end
- Part 4: "Wake Up!" - The big finale - someone outside the nightmare is trying to wake up the audience!
Originally commissioned by the Dekalb High School Band, Waterloo, IN. Terry Fisher, director..
This show does not include a full percussion arrangement, only a minimal outline written by the winds arranger as part of the original commission. If you are interested in commissioning a percussion arrangement customized for your ensemble, please contact us.
